About the Role

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience to join our Finance team as a Finance Manager.
The role involves managing day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliances, reconciliations, audits, and month-end closures. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fintech/SaaS environment.
This is an opportunity for a CA who wants to take end-to-end ownership of accounting and finance operations and grow into a broader finance leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Month-End Closure

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Perform GL scrutiny and ensure timely closure of open items.
  • Ensure books are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

2. Reconciliations & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and review bank, vendor, customer, GST, TDS, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items and aged balances.
  • Prepare monthly MIS and financial reports for management review.
  • Prepare schedules and workings for financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Manage and review GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure timely filing of returns and payments.
  • Track statutory dues and proactively address potential interest, penalties, or compliance gaps.
  • Support tax assessments and related queries.

4. Audit & Financial Statements

  • Coordinate with statutory auditors and support completion of annual audits.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Track audit observations and ensure timely closure.
  • Assist in the preparation and finalisation of financial statements and notes to accounts.
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on accounting matters.

5. Accounts Payable & Receivables

  • Oversee vendor accounting, invoice processing, and payment-related accounting.
  • Monitor customer receivables and support collection reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of customer and vendor ledgers.
  • Review credit notes, outstanding balances, and ageing reports.

6. Controls & Process Improvement

  • Strengthen accounting processes and internal financial controls.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive accounting and reconciliation activities.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and accounting checklists.
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for financial transactions.
  • Identify accounting risks and proactively highlight issues to management.

7. Business & Management Support

  • Work closely with Operations, HR, Sales, and other teams on finance-related matters.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and finance projects as required.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of Ind AS / applicable Accounting Standards.
  • Ability to independently identify and resolve accounting issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and basic financial modelling.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI.
  • 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting/finance.
  • Strong practical exposure to accounting, reconciliations, audit, and statutory compliance.

Preferred

  • Experience in a fintech, SaaS, technology, or high-growth company.
  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Prior experience handling statutory and financial audits.
  • Experience in process improvement or finance automation.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Hands-on rather than purely supervisory.
  • Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of accounting activities.
  • Strong on fundamentals and able to independently investigate and resolve issues.
  • Detail-oriented while keeping business priorities in mind.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Proactive in identifying gaps and improving processes.
